Last Wednesday, September 27th, our Promotional Bus visited Franconello’s great rooftop patio on 10222 S. Western for a happy hour hosted by the 19th Ward and the Morgan Park Beverly Hills Business Association. The happy hour included drink specials, appetizers, and raffles, with the proceeds to benefit Special Olympics Chicago. These proceeds will help provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Alderman Matthew J. O’Shea, along with State Rep. Fran Hurley and Retired Cook County Sheriff Mike Sheahan, acted as the “special guest bartenders” for this charitable event! We would like to thank all of those involved for a great night that supported a wonderful cause!
