Help Make the Holiday Season Bright

The holidays are a joyous time for most, but they can be a time of stress and hardship for struggling families. Running a toy drive within your community, business, or school is a great way to help the less fortunate experience the excitement of receiving toys this holiday season.

Last year, participating real estate and law offices gained support from clients, nearby businesses, and other HomeBase groups in donating toys to a worthy cause. HomeBase is expanding toy drive participation and would like to sponsor your business and help bring a smile to a child in need.

Perhaps you have considered running a toy drive within your company but are not sure where to start. Team up with HomeBase and follow these easy steps to get started:

Research and choose a charity recipient

  • Good places to start are local boys’ and girls’ clubs, YMCA, police and fire stations.

Set your toy drive dates

  • Holiday drives typically run from mid-November to mid-December. The more time you allow for donations, the better!

Create a flyer to promote your drive

  • Clearly outline the details of your drive. Be sure to include the dates, where to bring donations, and your nonprofit recipient.

Spread the word

  • Put up your flyer on your website and social media pages. Let HomeBase help by sending out your flyers in our memos, e-blasts, and social media posts!

Put out donation bins

  • Place donation bins in high traffic locations around your office region.

Choose your donation date

  • Schedule a date that works best for your charity and employees to drop off donations. As a participating sponsor, HomeBase will deliver collected donations to your charity of choice in our “Santa’s Sleigh” themed Land Yacht.
