As they leave their homes and their families each day to protect, they are risking their lives. To honor those selfless men and women who have lost their lives in the line of duty, Chicago established the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. The foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to not only honoring the lives of our fallen heroes, but to support and assist the families they left behind.

Since the first officer to die in the line of duty, there have been 582 Chicago police officers who have sacrificed their lives for our city. The costs of financial, emotional, and psychological support can be daunting; this foundation is in place to help with those financial burdens, but it takes a village to contribute to keep the foundation going. By supporting their initiatives through donations, volunteering, or attending charity events, it gives the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation a means to achieve their goals.

On Monday August 6th, HomeBase participated in the annual CPMF Golf Outing at Cantigny Golf Club. We were honored to meet CPD Gold Star families and friends who continue to support and honor CPMF’s message, “never forget”. We encourage you to visit the memorial site of our fallen officers located just east of Soldier Field.

HomeBase would like to thank all our service men and women, and we honor those we have loved and lost.
