17th Annual In Search of a Cure Golf Outing

The 17th Annual In Search of a Cure Golf Outing took place on July 26th and was sponsored by Teamsters Local 731 with Joint Council 25. In Search of a Cure has been raising awareness for autism in honor of Bryan D. Hancock for nearly two decades. Bryan is the son of Teamsters Joint Council 25 VP and Local 731 President Terrance J. Hancock. Bryan was diagnosed with autism in 1999. Since then, an impressive $5.9 million has been raised for autism research and support programs.

Silver Lakes Country Club hosted this annual event, which welcomed 574 golfers. The golfers competed on 4 courses followed by a reception attended by nearly 600 supporters. This year’s event successfully raised $625,000.

The HomeBase Land Yacht was stationed at the 2nd hole, where our team provided golfers with refreshments.

We discussed the opportunities that HomeBase provides–specifically, the cost-free union benefit that assists home buyers and home sellers.
